Extended 8–bit Microcontroller with Serial CommunicationInterfaces

1. Description

The TSC80251G1D products are derivatives of theTEMIC Microcontroller family based on the extended8–bit C251 Architecture. This family of products istailored to 8–bit microcontroller applications requiringan increased instruction throughput, a reduced operatingfrequency or a larger addressable memory space. Thearchitecture can provide a significant code sizereduction when compiling C programs while fullypreserving the legacy of C51 assembly routines.The TSC80251G1D derivatives are pin–out andsoftware compatible with standard 80C51/Fx/Rx withextended on–chip data memory (1 Kbyte RAM) and up

to 256 Kbytes of external code and data. Additionally,the TSC83251G1D provides on–chip code memory(16Kbytes ROM).

They provide transparent enhancements to Intel’s8xC251Sx family with an additional Synchronous SerialLink Controller (SSLC supporting I2C, µWire and SPIprotocols), a Keyboard interrupt interface and PowerMonitoring and Management features.

TSC80251G1D Mask ROM and ROMless derivativesare optimized both for speed and for low powerconsumption on a wide voltage range.
