s=1.96TeVintheyears2001-2004.Dependingontheanalysis,integratedluminosityofthesamplewasupto378pb 1.
Producingeventswithhightransversemomenta(pT)jetsweprobepropertiesofmatterandspaceatveryshortdistances.AttheFermilabTevatron,jetsarebeingproducedwithpTuptoabout600GeVwhichcorrespondstodistancesaboutthousandtimessmallerthantheprotonsize.Uptothisscale,theTevatronhighpTjetdataprovidetestsofourunderstandingofprotonstructureandstrongforcethatactsbetweenprotonconstituents:quarksandgluons.AnotheraspectoftheTevatronjetphysicsprogramisthedetailedstudyofjetpropertiesandunderstandingthesepropertieswithintheframeworkofperturbativeQuantumChromodynamics(pQCD).Thesestudieshavedirectimpactonmanynon-QCDanalyzesthatworkwithjets.Inaddition,stronginteractioninducedprocessesprovideunavoidablebackgroundfortheseanalyzesinhadron-hadroncolliders.BetterunderstandingofQCDprocessesthusimproveourchancesfordiscoveryofpotentialsignalsofnewphysics.
Tothe rstcategoryofhighpTjetprogrambelongupdatedresultsoncentraljetinclusivepTspectrabothfromtheCDFandtheDØCollaborations.SecondcategoryisrepresentedbytheDØmeasurementofdijetazimuthaldecorrelations,studyofjetshapesbyCDF,andtheCDFmeasurementofinclusivejetpTspectrausingkTalgorithmwithdi erentsizesofjets.
