Callaway® 8905 Defoamer

Kemira’s Callaway® 8905 is a highly effective defoamer designed specifically for non-aqueous or low-water applications. This defoamer accelerates the release of dissolved gases and treats free gases in the produced oil. Our product has the advantage of being completely silicone–free.Callaway 8905 has been specifically formulated to control the foam generated during the depressurization of the crude produced from the well. The elimination of the foam will help with the efficiency of the subsequent separator and minimize liquid carryover with the gas.

Callaway 8905 can also function as antifoam to accelerate the release of the entrapped and free gases in the crude to prevent foam from foaming downstream. With effective control of foam, it may be possible to achieve more throughput in the separator. Unlike most other defoamers used for oil and gas separation, Callaway 8905 is completely silicone-free. The product is environmentally responsible, eliminating any possibility for silicone contamination in downstream processes to the refinery. Callaway 8905 can be used in the most environmentally sensitive areas of the world.

Designed to be fluid down to -40°C, our Callaway 8905 defoamer can be used effectively even in the most extreme environments. Tests have shown that this product is pumpable at temperatures as low as 40°C below zero.
